Mr. Satish Varma has been associated with the Company for the last 10 years and handling various important projects. He has been an integral part of the strategic discussions and decisions, which were taken, during his association.

Ms. Anupama Datla Executive Director

Ms. Anupama Datla joined the Board of Director of Fermenta Biotech Limited in the year 2007. As Executive Director, she is responsible for providing strategic direction and supports for introduction of new businesses and plays a key role in providing impetus to the company’s existing marketing operations and also helps in planning and development of other potentially viable new markets as well.

Ms Datla is a post-graduate in Biotechnology from the Mumbai University and a Science Graduate from the Boston College, United States of America.

Mr. Rajendra Gaitonde Whole Time Director, Operations

Mr. Rajendra Gaitonde is a Whole Time Director – Operations of Fermenta Biotech Limited.
Mr. Gaitonde completed his graduation in Science, with specialization in Chemical Technology, from The University Department of Chemical Technology (UDCT), Mumbai. He joined the Company in the year 2004 and was responsible for manufacturing and marketing operations. Since 2004, he has been appointed as the Whole Time Director – Operations of the Company, with key responsibilities of manufacturing and production operations.

Dr. Girish Walavalkar CEO, Biotech Division

Dr. Girish Walavalkar has done his Ph.D from Mumbai University and is specialized in Enzyme Technology. The Research topic for his Ph.D was Isolation, Purification, Characterization, Immobilization and Applications of Lipase from Staphylococci . During the research he has isolated specific lipase from a novel source. He has been working for 15 years in Enzyme business in key Techno Commercial positions. He has invented a few applications of enzyme molecules which have been patented. He has also developed international marketing channels for various biotechnological products across the globe.

S Syamal Ram Kishore President, Business Development

He has a Masters in International Business with over 16 years of professional experience spanning Product Management, Strategic Planning and International Business Development. His work experience has been with some of the major Pharmaceutical houses in India like Dr. Reddy’s, Cipla, Aurobindo Pharma and Lupin Limited.

He is responsible for the Business Development of the Pharmaceutical product portfolio in India and International markets.

Vagesh Kumar Head, Environmental Solutions

He is a graduate in Science from Mysore University with over 14 years of experience in providing environmental solutions for highly polluting industries, lakes and solid waste management. He has extensively worked on biotech solutions for sewage treatment plants, effluent treatment plants and bio-remediation of lakes/ponds and Hazardous wastes. He was also instrumental in building a national distribution and dealer network with a strong customer base.

Since 2008, at FBL he heads the Environmental Division which offers a wide range of Biotech environmental solutions. He is responsible for the Business Development, Marketing functions, brand building, identifying the new product lines apart from management of collaborations for the organization.

Dr. Pramod Walavalkar General Manager, Techno Commercial

Dr. Pramod Walavalkar, a medical professional with a background of preventive & social medicine, has more than 30 years of Techno-Commercial experience in the healthcare industry. Various posts held by him range from Medical Advisor and DGM – International Marketing to V.P. Marketing. He has successfully shouldered both, medico-marketing and business development responsibilities in Multinationals as well as reputed Indian Pharmaceutical Companies. Dr. Walavalkar has also co-authored several research publications and international patents.

He is responsible for market intelligence, new business development and regulatory activities. His has multi-faceted medical-marketing expertise and has achieved much in Pharma Business Development.

Mr. Suresh Uniyal General Manager, Works

Over the past 26 years, he has been working on production of various API’s and intermediate like  6APA, 7ADCA, Ampicillin, Amoxicillin, Cephalexin, Doxypropexyphane, Chloromphenicol, Cholecalciferol, Isoxsuprine HCl, Phenyramidol HCl and fermentation based projects like industrial enzymes and its application scale up. By the virtue of long experience in various API’s and enzymes, he plays a crucial role in plant commissioning, scale up and project management. His current responsibilities include production planning and improvement, setting up cGMP facility, scale up and technical support.

Mr. Sudarshan Kamath General Manager, Finance

Sudarshan G Kamath is a Chartered Accountant with over 11 years of experience in Finance and Accounting. He has wide work experience in Corporate Accounting and Reporting, Corporate Strategy, Treasury, Control, Taxation, SAP implementation, Risk Management and SOX compliance. After working with a Dutch Multinational for over 10 years he has joined FBL in 2006.

He presently oversees all of the financial functions within the organization which include management of Cash Flows, Accounting, Budgeting, MIS, Taxation and Risk Management and reports to the Group CFO.
